Case study 07 / Ride and dispatch

Taxi Plaza

A live ride system connecting passengers, drivers, payments, and dispatch.

Taxi Plaza product experience
Passenger booking, driver tracking, payments, dispatch control, and live demand visibility.

The product

Taxi Plaza connects passenger booking and live driver tracking with the dispatch and demand controls used by the operations team.

A single ride moves through several people, locations, and payment states, so every part of the product needs the same current understanding of what is happening.

The challenge

Ride products operate in changing real-world conditions. Drivers move, demand shifts, bookings are accepted or cancelled, arrival times change, and support may need to step in.

The challenge was to keep passenger, driver, and dispatch views synchronized without exposing the operational complexity to the rider.

01 / Product thinking

Making the ride state dependable

Booking, assignment, arrival, pickup, live trip, completion, and payment were treated as explicit states shared across the system.

That common lifecycle helped each role see the right information and actions without creating conflicting versions of the same ride.

  • Passenger booking
  • Driver assignment and tracking
  • Live trip state
  • Payment and completion

02 / Product thinking

Giving dispatch a live operational picture

The dispatch experience brought together active rides, available drivers, demand, exceptions, and support actions.

This gave operators a practical control surface while keeping the passenger experience focused on the next useful step.

The outcome

One product, connected from experience to operations.

Taxi Plaza connects the customer ride with the operational system required to deliver it.

Passengers get a clear live journey, while dispatch teams get the visibility and controls needed to manage changing demand.
